Research

In 2019/2020, with the help of the Oxford Applied Research Collaboration (Ox-Arc), Paint Buzz undertook pilot research for evaluating quality-of-life impacts of the workshops run on an Oxfordshire County Council-funded Innovation project. Findings revealed three overarching themes in how Paint Buzz activities improved participants' quality of life:

  • through focused engagement in a creative process
  • through pleasure and a sense of achievement from the resulting objects,
  • and through social connections made or reinforced through the process/objects.

More on the research can be found here.

We intend to do more research in the areas of improved mental health and wellbeing and will keep Paint Buzz fans up to date with developments.
